Evie is still very funny and as impulsive as ever. Lend was still loving and charming but his best qualities were dulled out somewhat in the book. His jealousy made no sense since Evie wasn’t the least bit flirty with Jack ever. I found it odd that he was jealous of Jack. He did spend a considerable amount of his time in the book nagging to Evie about how dangerous it would be to return to work for IPCA. Lend was not nearly as much involved in the story as I would have liked. She is way to clingy and lost a lot of her ‘Evie’ spark. Where in Paranormalcy, Evie always managed to find answers on her own and hold her ground against anyone that went up against her, in Supernaturally Evie spends most of her time whinnying and being scared of telling Lend the truth about his immortality. She was very whiny and way too dependent on her relationship with Lend. It just couldn’t be helped, it was SO good! Supernaturally was a fairly fun read with a few exceptions.Įven though Evie is still her witty, always ready for a good butt kicking, and as spunky as ever as she was in the first novel, her character did fall a little on the weak side. As a BIG fan of the first book, I had HIGH expectations for the next novel. The first book in author Kiersten White’s Paranormalcy Series, which happens to be entitled Paranormalcy, set a high bar for her to follow.
